Sopran

The soprano Natalia Atamanchuk was born in Partizansk (Russia). She received professional singing and piano lessons at Novosibirsk Music School at the early age of seven.

The singer studied Music and Education for Teacher Training at Schools and Kindergarten at Novosibirsk State Pedagogical University from 1989 to 1993.

In 1993, the jury of the international university singing contest in Krasnojarsk was so impressed by her that she won first prize. She then embarked von Vocal Studies at the Novosibirsky State Conservatoire named after M.I. Glinka, and completed her studies under the tutelage of the lecturers Margarita Sergejewych, Lilia Ustjuzhanina and Professor Zinaida Didenko with a Diplom degree.

In 1996, Natalia Atamanchuk was the winner of the Bach contest in Moscow for Voice, giving her the opportunity to attend courses at the International Bach Academy Stuttgart under Edith Mathis.

Between 1998 and 2001, she took part in an exchange programme between the universities of Mannheim and Novosibirsk, and completed postgraduate studies at Mannheim University of Music and Performing Arts under Professor Vera U. G. Scherr and at the School of Opera there under Professor Jutta Gleue. At the same time, the singer held scholarships of the "Internationale Studentenfreunde e.V., Göttingen" society, the "Wilhelm-Müller-Stiftung" (Mannheim) and the "Wohltätigkeitsanstalt zur Einigkeit" (Frankfurt), and attended master classes led by Sergei Leiferkus and Semion Skigin. Natalia Atamanchuk completed her studies at the School of Opera in Mannheim in 2001.

The artist's first engagement between 2001 and 2002 took her to the Opéra National du Rhin in Strasbourg, within "Les jeunes voix du Rhin".

From 2002 to 2011, the soprano was a permanent ensemble member of Städtische Bühnen Osnabrück, where she sang many important roles for lyric soprano, trained vocally by the voice teacher Eva Sava-Basch.

Guest performances took the artist to Gera, Münster, Bremen, Bremerhaven, Detmold, Seoul, Palma de Mallorca, Leipzig and Novosibirsk.

Simultaneously Natalia Atamanchuk rounded off her voice training in master classes held by Prof. Rudolf Piernay (Mannheim).

At the moment the singer is led artistically by Alenusch Melkonian.

Natalia Atamanchuk has been working freelance since 2011.
